SHIPPING & DELIVERY FOR CHICKS

   There is a 6 chick minimum to ship in order to keep them warm, 2 chick minimum if local. If you are local, please let me know. Your orders will include the USPS approved chick box, nonslip pad, grogel and a heat pack.

   ***Ermine Ameraucana come in all 3 colors, black, white and ermine; all orders will be a mix so please don't ask for custom colors.

   ***Moss Eggers do have a 50/50 chance of laying a dark brown egg because they are a cross of BCM and olive.

   ***I do not guarantee the offspring egg shade of my BCM but I do breed to get the darkest shade possible.

 

For chick orders I ONLY use USPS Express 1-2 day guarantee shipping which includes $100 of insurance and will be a flat rate of $90 per order. Anything over 25 chicks will require a second order. IMPORTANT INFO: I DO NOT issue refunds, replacements or cancellations on chicks or egg orders unless I am unable to complete an order within the selected shipping year. Your money can be used anytime, no expiration. You agree to the terms and conditions when placing an order. Be prepared for a wait of anywhere between 3-10 months from your ordering date. I'm dealing with live animals and I do take the weather seriously and make sure their journey is as smooth as possible. 

 

Shipping out of state will be weather dependent to make sure your chicks survive their journey. 🥰 Which means they may ship in the month that is safest for them. I will closely be monitoring weather to fulfill your orders quickly. Local or close destinations may ship sooner if weather is permitting. NOT PROMISED.

 

I do have a smaller farm and want to make sure you, as a customer, get the best service possible and quality chicks. I DO NOT do this as my primary job and do have a lot going on but with that I make sure you get the best I have to offer. Please be patient with orders and let me know if you are wanting them in a specific month, due to schedules and I will do my best to fulfill that request. NOT PROMISED.

 

Now starting January of 2025, customers will be added to the waiting list once the full payment is received. This is to make sure my time is valued when working to put together your orders prior to shipment or pickup. It takes a lot of valued time to make all this happen and I appreciate your understanding.

After payment has been received, I’ll need your shipping address (unless you are local) and your phone number. I will notify you of your order prior to shipping or pickup. Once your chicks/eggs are out of my hands and have arrived at your local post office, they will notify you that your shipment is ready for pickup. I will have placed your number on the box with a HOLD FOR PICKUP. In the unfortunate event your order is damaged or show up deceased, you will need to notify your USPS office and file a claim. This is very rare but possible. My chicks ship healthy but are out of my hands once I pass them off to the post office. I include this above info ONLY because I want my customers to know, upfront, the potential risk of packages going through the USPS. I DO NOT REPLACE ORDERS WITH NEW CHICKS.

 

Local pickup is available in Junction City, Or. I meet offsite near my farm to ensure the integrity of my farms’ biosecurity practices. Full payments are required for pickup orders also to be added to the waiting list. If I have extra chicks available, I will post those on my page.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY FOR EGGS

Hatching egg orders are shipped on Mon-Wed. Shipping prices are $30 for a dozen and $40 for 2 dozen. Please let me know if you do not receive Saturday mail. **If you would like your order to go priority (1-2 DAYS GUARANTEE), please let me know before paying so I can include the extra cost.​ Payment is due upfront. The MAXIMUM number of eggs that I will ship in one box is 12. If you order more than a dozen, I will ship your order in a larger box therefore the shipping cost will be more. I ship within a couple days of the eggs being laid to keep freshness.​ After I have shipped your order, you will receive the tracking number and ETA by text.

 

POLICY FOR EGGS AND CHICKS

I package the eggs so they arrive safely, however I CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. There are several factors that can affect your hatch. Shipping can be rough on eggs. I always recommend letting the eggs rest for 24 hrs with the point end down. I do not send replacement eggs. If eggs break during shipment, they are covered with insurance through USPS! Please inspect the package before leaving the post office, if that’s where you received them. There is NO GUARANTEE on hatching Eggs. I also don’t guarantee the exact color of egg the chicks will lay, it all depends on the genetics the hen has.

POLICY FOR EGG COLOR

BCM can be anywhere between 7-9 on the color scale, Moss have a 50/50 chance of laying a dark brown and Ermine Ameraucana come in all three colors: Black, White and Black/White. These are still projects and can have a lot of different outcomes. With all that said, I try and stay as close to the egg colors you see when I ship out. I do keep all the darkest shades and hatch them for my flock or reserve then for shipping chicks.
